DOWNTOWN REPAIRS GRANT PROGRAM
We have launched a new Downtown Repairs Grant to help ease the burden on members who experience vandalism to their windows or doors. Applications are now open.
This program provides matched funding of up to $700 per incident and is retroactive for damages that have occurred since January 2025.
To be eligible, applicants must be current DBIA members or associate members, and the incident must involve vandalism that caused visible damage. A police report, photos of the damage, and a repair invoice or quote are required. Repairs must be completed within 30 days by a licensed contractor, and businesses may apply once per calendar year unless further support is approved by the Board of Management.
Applications are reviewed by the DBIA’s Engagement Committee and approved by the Board of Directors. Once approved, funds will be disbursed by direct deposit. Funding is limited to the DBIA’s annual budget, and applications must be submitted by October 24, 2025.
For more information or to apply, please contact DBIA Operations Coordinator Connor English at (705) 748-4774 ext. 201 or connor@ptbodbia.ca, or visit the DBIA office.

HOLIDAY SHOPPING PASSPORT
The Holiday Shopping Passport program, a cherished Peterborough tradition, encourages shoppers to support downtown businesses during the holiday season. Customers earn a stamp for every $10 spent at participating businesses and can enter completed passports for a chance to win either one of three early bird prize draws of $500, or the grand prize draw of $1,500 in Boro gift cards, which are “downtown dollars” that can be used at almost one hundred locations downtown Peterborough.
This initiative has consistently fostered community spirit, increased foot traffic in downtown businesses, and strengthened ties between local businesses and their customers during the bustling holiday season.
